Ove is the quintessential angry old man next door. An isolated retiree with strict principles and a short fuse, who spends his days enforcing block association rules that only he cares about, and visiting his wife’s grave, Ove has given up on life.

Enter a boisterous young family next door who accidentally flattens Ove’s mailbox while moving in and earning his special brand of ire. Yet from this inauspicious beginning an unlikely friendship forms and we come to understand Ove’s past happiness and heartbreaks.

What emerges is a heartwarming tale of unreliable first impressions and the gentle reminder that life is sweeter when its shared.

Carley’s Angels and Mythic Productions Presents a special event screening of Kiss and Cry.

Kiss and Cry is a drama based on the true story of Carley Allison, an up-and-coming young figure skater and singer who finds love just as she is diagnosed with an extremely rare 1 in 3.5 billion form of cancer.

NOW Magazine writes “I was reminded of the thing I love most about the movies: they can surprise you, if you let them” and gives the film NNNN. Critics agree, “The film is undoubtably stolen by Sarah Fisher” (Addison Wylie).

Stay for a Q&A after the film with director Sean Cisterna.
